We worked on our first annual report for one of Germany’s leading auditing firms back in 2006 and now translate several each year. Our experience covers both the GAAP and the IFRS accounting systems.
Similar to a legal translator, a good financial translator needs to be methodical in approach and logical in thinking. Consequently, the two areas often crossover in the world of translation. Having said that, translating legal and financial documents differs in that where a legal document is generally restricted to laying down the bare facts, financial documents, especially annual reports, often need good journalistic skills in order to relay the operations of a company with the same level of enthusiasm as the company would itself.
All our financial translators are recruited carefully and have years of experience in the field.
